Balancing motherhood and work - is that possible?
Having given birth to my little girl, Hilde, last July, I was often asked how I manage to balance motherhood and work. Here are my experiences and tips for other parents.
Organic ingredients: All of our ingredients are sourced from certified organic farmers in the UK and European Union who adhere to the highest food and safety standards. You will find the official EU organic label on every one of our products.
Cold Pressure (HPP): We use a cold pressure technology called HPP (High Pressure Processing) to make sure our meals are nutritious and safe. This process uses pressure (almost 11 times more than at the deepest part of the ocean!) instead of extreme heat to kill any bad bacteria such as E. coli, Listeria or Salmonella. By not using heat, we’re able to retain the nutrients, taste and texture of our farm fresh ingredients. HPP also naturally extends the shelf life of our meals by a couple of weeks.
Packaging & Shipping: We use 100% recyclable packaging. Our pots are made from plastic that’s completely free of BPA and harmful toxins. We pack our boxes with cool packs and insulation made from recyclable newspapers to keep the meals chilled until they arrive at your door. Our cool packs can also be reused or recycled, simply pour the non-toxic gel down the sink and recycle the plastic. To further decrease our CO2 footprint, we’ve decided to only deliver once a week.
